About Everyday Dog Tips

I’m Allison Burks, the human behind Everyday Dog Tips. My earliest memories include muddy paw prints by the back door and a patient dog waiting for me after school. Dogs have always been part of my life, and when I had a home of my own a friend asked if I could take in a rescue. I said yes.

Life was already full with kids, carpools, and work. That first rescue taught us how to create simple routines that actually stick. We learned to train with kindness and clear steps. We figured out food, health, and daily rhythms that kept our pup happy without turning the house upside down.

The kids wanted a second dog. I agreed on one condition. Everyone helps. We share walks, feeding, grooming, and training. The kids learned patience and how to read canine body language. I learned that small, steady habits let family life and dog life fit together.

Everyday Dog Tips is where I share what works in real homes. You will find practical guides in plain language, health and nutrition advice you can use today, and short training plans that fit into ten minute windows. Whether you just brought home a puppy, welcomed a rescue, or want to help a senior feel great, you are in the right place.

Meet our crew

We are a two dog family with plans for a third. Our dogs keep us outside, keep us playful, and remind us that small wins add up. They are the reason this site exists and the inspiration behind every article.

If Everyday Dog Tips helps you and your dog feel more confident and connected, then this project is doing its job. Thanks for being here.
